The Outposts mark: a pixel-art knight in a plumed helmet.

Your goal becomes a house in a shared village that grows when you check in.

Outposts in a minute.

The whole app, from your first goal to your outpost's hall.

Check in and it grows. Skip and it decays.

Both clips are game art from the build.

A pixel-art house at its largest, with stone walls, blue roofs, and banners, standing on a square of grass.
The same pixel-art house with vines growing up the walls and across the roof.

Stop checking in, and it falls apart where your friends can see.

Decay stops after one level. One check-in clears the damage.

Friends can help, and breaks are allowed.

Seven islands.

The app is free. Gems buy decorations at the Lantern Market.

Small ways to cheer each other on.

Every other week, your outpost takes on a challenge.

Rivalry

Your outpost against another of its size for a week. The side that keeps more of its check-ins wins.

30 gems each for the winners. Losing costs nothing.

Siege

Your island's villain sails in over four days. Keep 95% of your check-ins between you and it is driven off.

50 coins, 20 iron, and 15 gems each. A lost siege takes nothing.

Every island has its own villain.

New pieces at the market every day.

Yard pieces and house designs are sold only at the Lantern Market, an island you sail to from Home.

What we'll never sell

Gems buy looks only; money buys extra goals and stats.

  • Fixing decay
  • Outpost rank

If you could pay your way out of it, it wouldn't keep you accountable.

What we've built

Nicolo Gallia started Outposts. Daniel Lombard is the developer and he writes the code.

See it running.

  • Pick an island: seven islands on a blue sea, each labelled with what it is for. Downtown is finance, Stillwater mindfulness, Questford any goal, Hearthwick social, Hollowgrove reading, Ironpeak fitness, and Greyspire career.
  • A village on Hearthwick: houses on grass plots around the Common Hall, each with a player's name, string lights and market stalls between them, free plots waiting, and the Check in, Shop, Hall, Feed, and Profile keys along the bottom.
  • A village on Downtown: houses on city blocks between tall towers, cars on the roads, and the Exchange in the middle of the square.
  • The Home screen: 70 coins to spend, a way to sail to the Lantern Market, the player's house inside its fence, and the house tiers from Trestle Table to Little Cottage, each one owned.
  • A village on Hollowgrove: tree houses and mushroom huts around the Great Archive, with paths through the woods.
  • A village on Greyspire: stone houses around the Clocktower, gravel walks, and a fountain lawn.
